EVENTS
Events that Support and Celebrate Youth
At BGCP, we host a variety of events to both support our mission and celebrate the achievements of our members. Our annual Black Tie & Burgers gala brings the community together for an evening of fun and fundraising to ensure we can continue offering affordable after-school programs. In addition, we spotlight the talents and successes of our youth through events like CREATES Art Contest and Youth of the Year, where we honor young leaders making a positive impact. These events highlight the heart of our work—empowering the next generation to reach their full potential.
BGCP Signature Event – Black Tie & Burgers
All are invited to purchase tickets, become sponsors, and support the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena at our annual fall fundraising event held at a Pasadena-area home or Clubhouse with live entertainment, dancing, a thrilling auction, and of course, burgers!
CREATES – A photography and fine arts contest
CREATES gives youth an opportunity to share their creative expressions with a broader community through participation in BGCA’s National Arts Contests at the local, regional and national levels.
Club members can submit artwork in a variety of categories - photography, visual art, and digital art.
Youth of the Year – Leadership Development
Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members. Each year, one exceptional young person from a Boys & Girls Club rises to the role of National Youth of the Year. The National Youth of the Year serves as both an exemplary ambassador for Boys & Girls Club youth and as a strong voice for all of our nation’s young people. The journey to being named National Youth of the Year begins locally and progresses to state, regional and national levels.
Champions for Kids - Annual Recognition Luncheon
The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena gathers annually with supporters and community members to celebrate Champions for Kids award recipients, recognized for their long-time support of the Club, either financially, or as volunteers, or both.
