CREATES
gives youth an opportunity to share their creative expressions with a broader community through participation in BGCA’s National Arts Contests at the local, regional and national levels.
Club members can submit artwork in a variety of categories - photography, visual art, and digital art.
Winners will then compete in regional and hopefully, national competitions.
ImageMakers Photography
ImageMakers National Photography Program is designed to help members go beyond snapshots and develop skills to take impactful photographs. The current popularity and accessibility of photography makes it a powerful activity to engage youth of all ages, simultaneously teaching skills they will use for the rest of their lives. The program offers five categories: Nature & Surroundings, Portraits, Culture & Tradition, Editing & Filter, and Fashion & Design.
Fine Arts Program
The Fine Arts Program provides youth the opportunity to express themselves creatively, build confidence, learn new skills in the visual arts, and showcase their artwork in the community. The National Fine Arts Exhibit has nine categories that represent different art mediums and techniques: Colored Pencil Drawing, Pastel, Watercolor, Oil & Acrylic, Print Making, Mixed Media, Collage, Monochromatic Drawing and Group Project. The National Fine Arts Exhibit program is based on the idea that every Club can run a visual arts program that gives every member the chance to be an artist.
