Youth of the Year 2019

Youth of the Year

Angie M.

Angelina M. tells about her excitement to start coming to the Club when she was six – she had heard about the fun her siblings had each day and couldn’t wait to be old enough to join. Fast forward – Angelina is now a Pasadena High School Junior and serves as President of the BGCP Keystone Club, focusing on leadership and community service. She is an avid writer and hopes to attend UCLA upon graduation in a year.

We are proud of Angelina’s hard work and being one of six teens to advance to the Los Angeles area regional finals for 2019 Youth of the Year. Angelina has shared her story and passion for the Club with many audiences – but most notably at The Ace Hotel Theatre with an audience of over 500! She is taking all she learned through the process this year and is looking forward to the 2020 Youth of the Year – and being the LA area Youth of the Year!

In Angelina’s own words, “The Club allows everyone to become the best version of themselves. I am proud to be a product of the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena.”
