Youth Tackle Tough Issues

Four of our members joined some 60 of their peers and adults this month for an important meeting to discuss the State of the Youth in Pasadena. The special event was held at the new pavilion at the Rose Bowl and include such community leaders as Pasadena Unified School District Board President Renatta Cooper, Vice Mayor Jacque Robinson, and our own John Matthiessen, past president of the Club’s Board of Directors. Attendees ranged in age from 6 to 70, but it was the children who led the discussion on issues ranging from bullying and drugs to crime, that affect their schools and communities.
