Club members will receive new glasses thanks to the good folks at Vision to Learn. For the second year in a row, Vision to Learn brought their Mobile Eye Clinic to the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena to provide free vision testing to our members. One hundred fifty Club youth, ages 6 to 15, received vision screening with 30 ultimately fitted for free eyeglasses.
Vision to Learn provides an important service to low-income youth, many of whom can’t afford eye exams or glasses, and who often struggle in school because they cannot see the blackboard or read up close. Since its inception in 2012, Vision to Learn has provided more than 16,000 students in Los Angeles and Sacramento with free eyeglasses, resulting in improved grades and improved self-esteem.
