Passport to Manhood Visits PHS

Our teens in Passport to Manhood paid a special visit to the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA this month, where Vice President of Educational Outreach Liz Baronowski spoke to them about properly caring for companion animals, including the importance of micro-chipping and spaying and neutering.  Liz also shared stories about some of the animals that she has worked with over the years and took our members on a tour of the shelter, where they visited dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and resident alligator “Tina.” At the conclusion of the tour, she sent the boy’s home with instructions on how to make pull toys from fleece strips.  Each of our members will receive community service hours for completing the toys, which they will present to the shelter during an upcoming visit.
