NBA Star Speaks to Kids About Mentoring

In honor of National Mentoring Month, the Pasadena Mentoring Partnership hosted its 3rd annual PMP Breakfast at Lake Avenue Church with BGCP staff and members in attendance. Following a delicious breakfast, our kids enjoyed testimonials from their peers in the community about how their mentors have helped them realize their goals. Pasadena native and Mackenzie-Scott branch alumnae Ryan Hollins, now a member of the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team, was a special guest and spoke about how mentoring spurred his ambition and helped him to get where he is today. Pasadena’s Chief of Police and several City Councilmembers also attended the breakfast in support of the partnership.
