The Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena was awash in pink on March 7 to bring awareness to bullying. In correlation with the Pasadena Unified School District’s Anti-Bullying Initiative, both members and staff wore pink to say “no” to bullying. Posters and signs were posted around the Club with encouraging words and reminders to members to respect their peers. At a rally at the end of the day, members watched a video on bullying created by our Technology club and several gave speeches describing what bullying meant to them. Each member was also asked to write down what they are grateful for on giant puzzle pieces, which were later reassembled on the wall for everyone to read.
