Keystone Club Participates in Toy and Food Drives

The rain cleared just in time on December 7 when seven of our Keystone teens traveled to Six Flags Magic Mountain to lend a hand during the park’s annual Toys for the Holidays event, sponsored by KTLA Channel 5. Our members helped set up booths, took in toy donations, re-bagged gifts, and then loaded them on UPS trucks for distribution. Toys collected during the four-day campaign were distributed to thousands of children at the 28 Clubs that make up the Boys & Girls Clubs Los Angeles County Alliance. For their efforts, our Keystone members were given a free entry into Magic Mountain.

Earlier, our Mackenzie-Scott Keystoners conducted a holiday food drive to support Door of Hope, a local transitional home. Our kids loaded up bags of non-perishable items and dropped them off at the home, where they participated in a discussion about homelessness and poverty and the importance of giving back.
