Board members, staff, parents, and special guests cast their ballots for their favorite photographs at our 3rd Annual Photography Exhibit and Contest on February 12 at the Mackenzie-Scott Branch. The event was part of our ImageMakers photography program, which is designed to encourage members’ creativity and artistic skills and promote cultural enrichment. Under the direction of Technology Directors Albert Hernandez and Aylin Cervantes, our members took photos at the Club and on field trips in three different categories: Culture & Tradition, Surroundings, and Portraits. Jacque Robinson, vice mayor of the City of Pasadena, delivered the keynote speech, while our members’ efforts were recognized with a proclamation from California State Senator Carol Liu. The winning photos will compete with those from other clubs in the Pacific Region at an upcoming event this spring. Winners from that event will move on to the National Competition in Atlanta.
